The UK currently uses Co-generation for around 6% of its energy mix, approximately 5.5GW. 

Users include hospitals, residential complexes, industrial commerce and the public sector.

Co-generation units produce:

 

Electricity

This can be used on site, sold to the national grid or fed into a private network.

This can be used on site using a variety of heat emitters.

Cooling

This can be achieved by using absorption chillers

CHP Units operate on a variety of fuels

 

Natural Gas

This is a great option for those who have access to gas lines
